Josh Allen Keon Coleman’s future in Buffalo was discussed Thursday. The quarterback expressed his support for the second-year receiver eight days after Bills owner Terry Pegula publicly criticized the decision to draft him.
Allen is Buffalo’s starting quarterback and has led the offense since 2018. Coleman joins the Bills as a second-round draft pick out of Florida in 2024.

“I’m not giving up on (Keean Coleman). He’s got so much ability. I’m not giving up on him. We’re going to work tirelessly, him and I, and everybody else in this building, to make sure that every time we step on the field, we find a way to win football games, and he’s going to be a part of that.”
Coleman was the center of attention during Pegula’s press conference regarding the firing of Sean McDermott. The owner said McDermott’s coaching staff pushed for Coleman to be selected, while Bills general manager Brandon Beane agreed to the selection as a “team member.”

Josh Allen Taking on some of the responsibility for Buffalo’s coaching change. He pointed to his performance in the divisional round loss as a factor in Sean McDermott’s firing.
“I’d be lying if I sat here and said I wasn’t involved,” Allen said. “If I had played another game in Denver, we probably wouldn’t have had this press conference.”
Gene Coleman In 13 appearances this season, he caught 38 passes for 404 yards and four scores. He started six games in Weeks 11 and 12 but missed two games due to health issues.
The receiver has been dealing with disciplinary issues in his second season. Coleman showed up late to multiple team get-togethers, which resulted in fewer snaps despite injuries to other Buffalo pass catchers.
Joe Brady replaces McDermott Coached Buffalo after being eliminated from the playoffs. When the Bills selected Coleman in 2024, he was promoted from offensive coordinator to staff.
