John Harbaugh and the New York Giants are reportedly pursuing Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III as a free agent target. The 2026 Super Bowl MVP will likely hit the open market, as Seattle is not expected to use the franchise tag on him.

Giants insiders say New York will make a “big push” for Walker when free agency begins. He’s a physical, game-changing back who fits Harbaugh’s run-focused offensive vision and will back up Jaxon Dutt.

However, analyst Shaun Morash scrutinized the potential move on Tuesday.

“What scares me is that we’re now in the beginning of March, or even the end of February, and all of a sudden everybody and their mother knows what do you want to do? Is that improve the running back room?” Morash said, via “Talking Giant.”

“If we go away at the end of the draft and we find out they gave Kenneth Walker a bunch of money and he goes somewhere else and they end up drafting (Jeremiah) Love, is there something John Harbaugh the Giants already knew in late February and early March?”

Morash also questioned the decision to pursue Walker despite the team’s deep running back room.

“Enough writers and reporters are saying the Giants are going to take a shot at Kenneth Walker in free agency and if not, don’t underestimate Jeremiah Love at No. 5,” Morash said.

“If you’re a coach who comes in here and doesn’t think Cam Scatebo is a guy that absolutely needs the ball and needs to be your engine, then I question what you’re focusing on when you take this job.”
