One of AEW’s top stars was injured recently. John Cena was chosen as his replacement.
Jake Doyle rose to fame in TNA wrestling. After competing in the company for the past few years, Jake Doyle debuted earlier this year and quickly aligned himself with the Don Callis Family. This week on Dynamite, Jake Doyle and Mark Davis compete against FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. During the match, Doyle grabbed the top rope and took the apron DDT from Cash Wheeler. Postgame reports stated that Doyle suffered a torn bicep during the game. Jake will face Danhausen on February 20th at Asylum Fight Club.
Now, Danhausen He said on social media that he was looking for a replacement for Jack Doyle. He said Cena was his first choice, but now that he’s retired, that won’t happen.
“Jake Doyle has had an accident and Danhausen has started looking for a replacement. John Cena has also been ruled out as Danhausen’s first replacement option because apparently he has recently retired.”

In Saturday night’s main event, Cena competed in his final WWE match against Gunther. During the match, the ring general forced Cena into submission. This ending made many fans dissatisfied.
