Rogan told guest Cheryl Hines:
“I was put on file for not going. Yeah, I was put on file for not going. Jeffrey Epstein tried to meet with me. I was like, ‘What?'”
Rogan continued:
“Yeah, but I wasn’t going to go anyway. It was like, it wasn’t even a possibility that I wanted, especially after I Googled them. I was like, ‘What the hell are you talking about?’ It was like 2017. One of my guests was trying to get me to meet him. I was like, ‘B****, are you high? Like, what the hell are you talking about?'”
Rogen’s guest then asked why anyone would want to meet Epstein, and the podcaster shared his perspective:
“If I’m someone who likes to photograph rich and powerful people, if I’m really interested in hanging out with rich and powerful people.”
Rogan said people might be persuaded to meet with Epstein and others because some celebrities would go to parties where they might feel safe.

Joe Rogan questions Jeffrey Epstein’s death
Jeffrey Epstein was imprisoned in 2019 and was awaiting trial before his death in prison. Despite some conspiracy theories suggesting Epstein was murdered, authorities ruled his death a suicide.
The FBI released statements and documents claiming Epstein committed suicide. However, Joe Rogan isn’t so sure about that. He spoke with comedian Ihsan Ahmed on an episode of his podcast Bringing up Epstein’s death:
“(Forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden) looked at the autopsy and he looked at the condition of Epstein’s body and said it showed someone had been strangled. This type of fracture of the bones in the neck, that’s not what would happen if you hang yourself.”
Rogan added:
“He said the mark was also in the wrong place, it was low on the neck. And if someone (hanged) themselves, the weight of their body would kill them, all the weight would go up to the top of your chin. He said the injuries were consistent with someone being strangled.”
