Jake Paul joins Vance to watch the US hockey team win the Olympics



Vice President JD Vance sat down with the influencer and boxer Jake Paul as they watched the US women’s ice hockey team easily defeat Finland 5-0 at Winter Olympics on Saturday.

Vance and his family entered during a break at the end of the first period, with the USA leading 1-0. Paul joined them soon after. Paul’s fiancee, Jutta Leerdam, is a figure skater for the Netherlands at Games Milano Cortina.

Vance sat with his youngest child, daughter Mirabel, on his lap. Usha Vancewearing a tracksuit emblazoned with “USA” in large letters, he clapped along to Queen’s “We Will Rock You” before the second period began.

The vice president and his wife stood and applauded when the US women’s national team scored a goal. They were back on their feet, cheering minutes later when the American women scored again.

Among those seated near Vance were 2010 Olympic figure skating gold medalist Evan Lysacek and twin hockey sisters, Hall of Famers Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson and Monique Lamoureux-Morando. They were members of the US team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Winter Games.

This is the second time Vance has watched the US women’s team at the Winter Olympics in Cortina, Milan.

He was also at the Milano Rho Ice Hockey Arena on Thursday, when the USA defeated the Czech Republic 5-1 in the first game of the preliminary round.
