Jai Opetaia talks IBF world title status ahead of Zuffa belt fight

“Whether we defend it (against Granton) or not, I’m not sure, but I’m going to defend it. Whether it’s this one or the next one.

“My mission is to become undisputed, so without the IBF, I wouldn’t be undisputed.

“As far as I know, (I’m not in danger of being deprived). I don’t think there’s any danger.”

Journalist Dan Rafael confidently says the IBF belt is on the way, but fans are still waiting for confirmation from the sanctioning body.

Oppetaya-Glanton to headline ‘Zuffa Boxing 04’ On Sunday, March 8, in Las Vegas, both the inaugural Zuffa Boxing Lightweight Championship and the Ring Magazine Championship were at stake.
