AEW World Champion MJF has revealed interest from WWE as his contract with the promotion is set to expire. The Devil also opened up about the phone calls he received.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman Joined All Elite Wrestling at the start of the promotion in 2019 and has been one of the company’s top stars over the past few years. The “Salt of the Earth” is currently reigning as the AEW World Champion for the second time. Meanwhile, MJF revealed that WWE is interested in signing him as his previous contract is set to expire.
talk with Insights from Chris Van Vliet, MJF was asked if he was interested in the Stamford promotion. Max revealed that there was a lot of interest and revealed that he had some calls with executives before ultimately re-signing with AEW:
“There’s been a lot. I’ve had some good calls with some good people at the top and they’re very interested in me. They’re still very interested in me and I understand why, but despite my many shortcomings, there’s not one thing about me that’s unprofessional. If you put a contract in front of me for the right amount of money, I’m going to do that and I’m going to broadcast how important those three letters are,” Marks revealed. (H/t Wrestling Talk)
MJF told to leave AEW for WWE
Although MJF has yet to perform in WWE, many fans have expressed their desire to see Max there. A fan on the X social media platform recently suggested MJF go to Stamford for a promotional event while praising his microphone skills. Max noticed the fan request and urge him to respond Watch him every Wednesday on AEW:
“I’m live every Wednesday on @AEW on TBS! Check your local listings,” Max said.
Meanwhile, MJF will defend his AEW World Championship Brody King This Saturday, the Australian Grand Slam.
