Italy prohibits self-application for short-term rentals




Citing security fears and expectations that 35 million people will visit Rome for the Catholic Jubilee in 2025, the Italian government has banned short-term rentals from allowing guests to check in using drop boxes. Landlords must now meet tenants in person and report them to the local police station.
