Israel will reopen the Rafah crossing in Gaza to pedestrian traffic




On Sunday, Israel will partially reopen the Rafah crossing – a vital passage connecting Gaza and Egypt that has remained largely closed for more than 18 months. The crossing will initially be open to foot traffic, but Israel has not yet said how many people will be able to cross and whether those who want to return to Gaza will be allowed to enter.
