Iran’s state TV aired several ‘forced confessions’ after the crackdown on protests, activists say




Iranian state television has aired an “unprecedented” number of forced televised confessions in recent weeks following the latest deadly crackdown on anti-regime protests, according to rights groups. Activists say the “coerced confessions” are extracted through psychological and physical torture and are a known tactic used by Iranian authorities in the past.
