There has been a major update on the pitch for the ongoing India vs England semi-final of the 2026 T20 World Cup. The India vs England semi-final is scheduled to be played on March 5 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
According to a RevSportz reporter, ahead of India’s semi-final against England, it was said that the pitch at Wankhede Stadium could be the same one used by the defending champions against the United States in the group stage. The game was not an easy one for India as they won by just 29 runs on a slow and tricky surface at the Wankhede Stadium.

If the same surface is used again, it could cause serious problems for aggressive players like Abhishek Sharma. He likes speed with the ball and attacking from the 1st ball. But with the slow pace, timing becomes difficult and England’s attack is strong, so India will need to be patient in the semi-finals.
