ICE to conduct Super Bowl LX enforcement operations under Trump’s order

this Department of Homeland Security (DHS) ICE agents are confirmed to be enforcing the Super Bowl LX game on February 8 in Santa Clara, California.

Tricia McLaughlin Yoho, Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, Department of Homeland Security, told TMZ Sports, “The Department of Homeland Security is committed to working with our local and federal partners to ensure the Super Bowl is safe for all participants, just as we do with every major sporting event, including the World Cup.

“Our mission remains the same.”

So ICE will be around Levi’s Stadium after Sunday’s game before the game between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, the champions of their respective divisions.

Homeland Security adviser Corey Lewandowski said back in October that law enforcement was “directed by the president” and would not be paused for the Super Bowl.

“It was very well thought out,” Goodell said of the decision-making process for the halftime show. “I’m not sure the artists we picked didn’t get some pushback or criticism. That’s hard to do when you have hundreds of millions of people watching.

“(Bad Bunny) is one of the leading and most popular entertainers in the world,” the commissioner said. “That’s what we’re trying to achieve. It’s an important stage for us. It’s a big element of the entertainment value.”

The Super Bowl typically requires a robust law enforcement logistics plan, with government agencies helping local authorities maintain a safe environment for the thousands of people who gather in the host city.

McLaughlin-Yoho added: “Security for the Super Bowl requires a comprehensive government response consistent with the U.S. Constitution.”

“Those who are here legally and have not violated other laws have nothing to fear.”
