I drove to Florida to re-audition because I had one semester left and I was so young and such an idiot. On my birthday, I was speeding. I drove on 91 in the 75 area. Miles. Call it stupid. My lights went out. And then on top of that, in the state of Georgia, it’s illegal, right? “I was like, ‘I was smoking weed. I’m sorry,'” she said.

She added that going to prison and seeing the conditions of the inmates made her realize how lucky she was.

“So I went to jail. At this point, I was nine hours away from Nashville, Georgia, and my dad and mom only let me sit there for three days. It was honestly the greatest moment of my life because I became so much more grateful because there were women in this prison for over a year and you only get out for an hour a week,” she added.
