Zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal reached out to former employees in a lengthy message posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday. In that message, Goyal urged ex-Zomato employees to rejoin the company, adding that the company has been evolving.

“I know that for many of you, Zomato didn’t have the environment or leadership you needed at the time. But I know for a fact that you loved being at Zomato, and it’s quite possible that you’ll never feel at home anywhere since you left,” he wrote.

He added that more than 400 people work there eternal from now on in his second or third period.

“A lot of them are doing their best work now. Maybe because they’ve grown, but also because the company has grown. We’re more organized, a little less chaotic, and hopefully, I’ve learned a few things along the way, too. If you haven’t approached me because you think the door is closed, or because you think I’m clinging to the past. I don’t want to, I’m not.”

He further said that Eternal today is a family of companies: Zomato, Blinkit Quick-Commerce, Blinkit Ambulances, District, Hyperpure, Nugget and Feeding India. “We need people who already know what’s good here, and who care enough to fight for it. There’s no better person for that than someone who’s been here, left, grown, and wants to come back.”

He also addressed reports about leadership at the company after he stepped down as CEO and that titles never mattered at the company.

“You could say that Eternal won’t be the same, because I’m no longer the CEO. But ask yourself a question. Did the titles ever matter to Eternal? I’m still very much here, and I’d love for you to be a part of this next phase of Eternal. If you think you’ve got things going on here, please don’t overthink it. You’re wrong, but being in Eternal is the feature Let’s talk and find a role that fits your life as it is today.”
