Newcastle UnitedDefeat against Athletic Bilbao Champions League Wednesday night is much needed but Eddie Howe Knowing that there has been no response from him is bitter. Premier League Lost to West Ham United last weekend.
Now they have the chance to do so brentford at Gtech Community Stadium. It’s a tough game as Keith Andrews’ side regroup after a difficult summer transfer window and escape the relegation pack so far this season.
The Bees have lost just one of their five home games in the Premier League this season, a 1-0 loss to Manchester City, while worryingly United are yet to win away at St James’ Park, losing three games in a row in the top flight. However, their recent record against the Londoners has been really good.

With the November international break approaching, this is the perfect opportunity for the Toons to prove they are capable of consistency both on Tyneside and away from home.
However, they must do so without Anthony GordonHas been ruled out after picking up a hip injury in midweek.
Anthony Gordon’s health update
Gordon has been out of form for a while. The England international has never scored or assisted in his last 19 Premier League games.
But the 24-year-old remains one of the most talented wingers in the country and will be missed against a dynamic Brentford side.
Howe hinted at his pre-match press conference that Gordon would miss the game because of a recurrence of a hip injury that has plagued him for about an hour in the Champions League this year.
Of course, we can’t ignore the frustrating performance that preceded the setback. The Chronicle reports Gordon live Match rating 5/10 and commented that he did not look right into the left channel.
Gordon will miss this game, but Howe is likely to consider replacing him after a difficult period.
Harvey Barnes is the most likely candidate to move to left field, but the manager may consider a more left-field option, especially after Joelinton found form in the center of the park a few days ago.
Howe could let Gordon take over for new role
Newcastle have the resources to pull off that elusive away win without Gordon. But it takes a good performance and the players have to step up and get their season started.
Among them are Jacob RamsayThis summer, he joined Newcastle from Aston Villa for £39 million plus £4 million in add-ons. The boyhood Villa fan has struggled with injury over the past few years but is a popular and talented figure in the Midlands and there is a feeling among Newcastle’s opponents that they have lost a potential superstar.
Fitness issues plagued him at the start of his career and because of this, Ramsey made just seven appearances in all competitions, including just one start in the Premier League.
It was a gloomy day for Newcastle in the capital last weekend but Ramsey showed his quality as he entered the fray after the break, recording two dribbles and three catches and winning four of his six second-half duels, according to Sofascore.
Given the solidity of Newcastle’s central engine room, it would be foolish to start Ramsey in the number ten against a tenacious Brentford side. However, he has the dribbling ability and creativity to serve Walter Mader from the left, leaving Howe with the option of either Barnes or Jacob Murphy playing from the right.
The former Whelan performed like a man desperate to lock down a starting spot at the London Stadium and while his efforts were fruitless, his commitment was unquestionable.
Here is a versatile playmaker with the skills to disrupt the home side from the wings. Ramsey has historically favored evenly distributed output when playing out wide.

Known as the “monster” of the attacking midfielder Analyst Ryan McKeownRamsey’s speed, fluid movement and impressive athleticism – when fully healthy – will now need to translate into something productive. Howe signed the player with a vision and now he must put that plan into action.
After all, while the Englishman has had a difficult year, he has shown his quality through his underlying statistics, with FBref revealing that he finished in the top 5% of pass completion rates, top 9% for tackles, and top 6% for success rate against opponents per 90 minutes across Europe’s top five leagues over the past year.
A successful catch is recorded when a player beats an opponent with the ball directly past him while maintaining possession.
Now, the motivation is to establish game flow and avoid another injury setback. If Ramsey succeeds in doing that, he might even put pressure on Gordon for a spot on the left wing.
Newcastle have plenty of options as they prepare to take on Brentford at Gtech, and after signing a talented player like Ramsey for a big fee this summer, now is certainly the perfect time for him to announce his move to the Premier League under Howe.
