Dozens of people have been killed in recent coordinated attacks by separatists in southwestern provinces.
This is called Pakistan’s forgotten war. The project has been running for decades in Balochistan, the country’s largest province by land area.
Another wave of violence this week has left more than 100 people dead.
The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack, which it said was the deadliest to date.
In recent years, the Balochistan Liberation Army has continued to escalate its attacks, saying it is fighting for the independence of Balochistan.
In Islamabad, the government blames the violence on its so-called enemies.
