House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump will not seek re-election in 2021

Rep. Dan Newhouse, R-Wash., one of the few Republicans to vote to impeach President Donald Trump in 2021, announced Wednesday that he will not seek re-election in 2026.

“This decision is made without any reservations or regrets, just gratitude for the opportunity to represent my hometown in Congress,” Newhouse wrote in a statement.
