February 7 marks a historic day in Haiti’s turbulent past. Four years after the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, Haiti is engulfed in violence, criminal gangs control much of the capital, and humanitarian issues are escalating. Today also marks the end of the term of the Interim Presidential Council, an unelected body that is trying to fill a governance vacuum. France 24’s Gavin Lee is joined by investigative reporter Ingrid Arnesen, who has covered Haiti for more than two decades, to discuss these ongoing crises.
