Haaland scored his 100th Premier League goal


Erling Haaland became the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League He scored as Manchester City beat Manchester City 1-0 at Fulham in the Premier League on Tuesday.

Haaland reached his century on his 111th appearance, beating Alan Shearer’s long-standing mark of 124 games. The Norwegian striker is the 35th player to reach the 100 club.

City should have been ahead within six minutes after Haaland was played on goal but hit the inside of the post when he looked certain to score.

The 25-year-old then smashed the opener in the driving London rain with beauty for his 15th league strike of the season, meeting Jeremy Doku’s low cross with a left-footed shot wide from the left.

A City win could reduce table leaders Arsenal’s advantage to two points, although the Gunners play their game at home to Brentford on Wednesday.
