It’s safe to say it’s been a weird week for the past week Manchester United So far.
manager Ruben Amorim Against Bournemouth, the team made a strange decision to target young players Harry Armas and Chido Obi. The game then descended into chaos.
The Red Devils’ attack looked incredible, with four goals from Amade, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandez and Matheus Cunha.
However, in the back, they were completely desperate. Luke Shaw was bullied in the build-up to Antoine Semenho’s first-half equalizer. The Cherries then completed their comeback with a 4-4 draw at Old Trafford.
Amorim reacts to Manchester United draw
Considering United required 12 tries before finally scoring for Bournemouth, Amorim’s side should have been gone before the Cherries had a chance to get back into the game.
While the manager will be pleased with the way they scored, he was not happy with the overall performance.
In quotes relayed by PA Media, he said: “It was an interesting game for everyone at home but if you watch the game you would have thought we lost two points in the second half. I think we lost two points in the first half. I think we should have had more goals and we should have had a different result at half-time.”
Amorim continued: “It was a similar situation to Nottingham (Forest, 2-2 draw in November) where we conceded two goals very quickly but we managed to get the advantage back and then we needed to finish the game.”
The Portuguese made tactical changes in the second half that inspired United to fight back after conceding two goals at half-time, but he was not included in the discussion as United switched to a back four.
“This should be a discussion for you, not me,” he said. “I’ll say the same thing – you can play with the same players and it looks one thing but it’s another thing… I know you know I trained with the back four this week. I don’t know how, but it’s a good thing for you guys to talk about.”
Bournemouth player who intimidated Manchester United
Surprisingly, surprisingly, it was Semenho who caused a lot of trouble for Manchester United on the left. That said, forward Evan Nelson has been a problem for the likes of Lenny Yoro and Aiden Paradise.
Perhaps the standout player, however, is midfielder Alex Scott. The Englishman was not initially included in the starting XI. Instead, Tyler Adams has been linked with Manchester United. However, his audition only lasted a few minutes before he left due to injury.
Scott impressed so much that United celebrity Mark Goldbridge said on social media during the game: “Sign this Scott. He looks like Keane in his prime.”

While the 22-year-old didn’t score or assist, his overall performance in the midfield was eye-catching, winning five duels, completing his only dribble and accumulating two shots.
Manchester United have been linked with a number of midfielders in recent weeks, including Like Adam Walton and Elliot Anderson. However, Scott could be a cost-effective alternative.
