Forge developers are preparing to release a fourth island, called Crimson Sakura Isles. Not only will it introduce more enemies, but also more quests, pickaxes, blueprints, and weapons. The trailer shared by the game’s creators gives players a glimpse into the upcoming update.

According to peek Forge Discord Serverthe developers plan to release an RNG locking system, key mining, upgradeable ores, and more features in upcoming updates. They may arrive along a fourth island, whose world design is rumored to be inspired by anime.

Here’s everything we know about Akakura Islands and upcoming features:

Akakura Islands

Developer FireAtack mentioned on the game’s Discord that the map and resources for the Red Sakura Islands have been completed. However, now that the Frostspire Expanse update is out, the game’s creators are taking their time to polish the game by fixing bugs and glitches.

Crimson Sakura Island will be the fourth island in Crucible, so it’s expected to contain end-game content. Players can purchase new pickaxes, craft better weapons, and participate in boss fights.

Speculations aside, the glimpses of the upcoming island reveal that it features Japanese arches (torii gates), lush green trees, and a passage leading to a cave. The cave is filled with glowing yellow flowers, lighting up the otherwise dark surroundings.

Monkeys, chimpanzees, and gorillas wearing samurai armor or costumes will become the common enemies of the Sakura Islands. While their abilities and levels haven’t been revealed yet, it’s best to assume that you’ll need late-game weapons to kill these enemies before mining the ore from the caves.

Bosses may also appear on upcoming islands. Expect them to drop rare essences and runeswhich greatly enhances your weaponry.

RNG locking system

This is an upcoming feature of The Forge. It helps players obtain guaranteed specific weapons when forging, but the process requires a bit more ore than the optimal ore requirement for each item class.

For example, the optimal amount required for a straight sword is six ores. The RNG locking system will allow players to lock the category by placing at least 10 ores. This ‘lock’ has a 100% chance of getting a straight sword.

Other features

Here are some other features being developed at The Forge:

Blueprint drops: These items will be obtained through enemy drops rather than purchasing or crafting blueprints.
Upgradeable ores: You will be able to upgrade ores for better statistical effects.
critical mining: A critical hit during mining will ensure you break rocks faster.
Weapons and stationery storage: More weapon customizations may be released.
