There was a crazy scene in a game Philadelphia 76ers Monday night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs also featured NBA stars Joel Embiid and Victor Wembunyama.

Embiid was ejected for an offensive foul with 2:59 left in the second quarter. He charges correctly By Wen Banyamahe was set up in the middle of the lane. The NBA MVP stood up and immediately argued with referee Jenna Schroeder.

The seven-time All-Star was furious after being ejected from the game for the second time in his career. He had to be stymied by teammate Kyle Lowry, head coach Nick Nurse and several assistant coaches.

Embiid has had a rough year.

Monday night’s game against the Spurs was only his eighth game of the season. He dealt with left knee soreness, a three-game suspension for an altercation with a reporter and a broken sinus.

This was the second ejection of the night, although the first ejection was later revoked.

Sixers big man Andre Drummond was ejected by Schröder for a foul on Wembanya. However, after the video was replayed, officials withdrew the eviction order.

The referee assessed a technical foul on Wembanyama for the fall, but overturned the technical foul after 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey had already hit the technical free throw. This view was also withdrawn.
