Frankie Dettori, the world’s most famous jockey, revealed that he will file for bankruptcy.

The decorative Italian, who won hundreds of first-squad games around the world, said he had no success in solving HMRC’s financial difficulties.

“For the past six months, my consultants have been working with HMRC to try to find a solution to my financial situation. Unfortunately, I will file for bankruptcy.

“I feel sad and embarrassed by this result and suggest others have stronger control over their own financial problems.

“Bankruptcy is a major decision and the consequences will affect me for years.”

The 54-year-old canceled his plan to retire from the saddle in 2023 and has since ridden full-time in the United States.
