Justice Department cleared to release secret grand jury materials in Jeffrey Epstein case

A federal judge has clarified Ministry of Justice Secret grand jury transcripts from Jeffrey Epstein’s 2019 sex trafficking case were released Wednesday.

U.S. District Judge Richard Berman overturned a previous decision to keep the transcripts secret, citing recent congressional action on the Epstein dossier. Berman had previously warned that the roughly 70 pages of grand jury materials contained little new information.

Just a day earlier, Judge Paul Engelmeyer granted the Justice Department’s motion to unseal separate grand jury transcripts and exhibits in Ghislaine Maxwell’s criminal case.
