WWE has picked some interesting names for their latest tryout. Among them is two-time reality wrestling women’s champion Promise Braxton. With one fight last year, the 29-year-old has already impressed a former world champion.
Recently, WWE fans were introduced to a new side of Natalya. Now as NattieQueen of Bucks goes on rampage on RAW brand, sets sights on Women’s Continental Group. After Maxxine Dupri lost her title match against Becky Lynch, Nattie attacked her former protégé. This led to a match earlier in the week that ended with a double countdown.
Thanks for your submission!
The new and improved Nattie didn’t appear out of thin air, though. The vet spent some time run some independent matchesincluding GCW Bloodsport and Reality of Wrestling, where she encountered some exciting new competition. One of the names that impressed her was ROW’s Promise Braxton. Natty congratulated her on her audition for “X” and considered the star one of the best she’d ever cast aside.
“Promise Braxton is truly one of the best partners I’ve ever stepped into the ring with. She pushes me to my limits in all the right ways, which I deeply admire. Her work ethic, passion and love for professional wrestling is undeniable and shows every time she steps into the ring” – Nattie on X (@NatbyNature)
Nattie claimed Braxton was crucial to the development of her new role and wished Braxton the best in the next chapter of her career. The two faced off on ROW in July, with Natty forcing her to pass out on the Outlaws.
Former NXT star joins Promise Braxton and more in latest WWE tryout
Braxton joins an extremely strong group of independent talent, including a former NXT player returning to WWE once again. Today, several indie stars revealed that they have been invited to compete in February’s tryouts with Promise Braxton.
Former Coast Championship Wrestling Women’s Champion Nicki Blackheart, former Viral Pro Wrestling Women’s Champion Arica Demia, and Indy Wrestling Divine Queen Fallyn Gray all confirmed on X that they have been invited. But there’s also a former NXT star who looks set to get another shot at glory.
The Notorious Mimi (formerly known as Sloane Jacobs in WWE) will also be participating. Mimi jokingly commented that photos of NXT women were cropped out by fans. Today she confirmed she had a chance to “escape the accusations of failure”. Mimi was previously signed to the promotion in early 2022, but was released in November of that year.
