Former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, sentenced to 45 years in prison last year for his role in a drug-smuggling operation that smuggled hundreds of tons of cocaine into the United States, has been released from prison following a pardon by President Donald Trump, officials confirmed Tuesday.
