Former England captain issues warning to India batsmen ahead of T20 WC semi-final clash

Former England captain Michael Vaughan has issued a warning to India ahead of their semi-final match against England at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 5. The England cricket great believes that the English spin team will come up with a big hit for the Indian batsmen on the likely turning track at the Wankhede Stadium.

Michael Vaughan has made a huge bet on the England national cricket team’s spinners. Warne believes Adil Rashid, Liam Dawson and Will Jacks can do their jobs with precision. He also praised the efforts shown by the England cricket team players on the field.

“England’s spin attack is better than India’s. (Varun) Chakravarthy has been attacked. Dawson, Rashid and Will Jacks are the best trio in terms of spin in this tournament. England’s defense is absolutely brilliant. They look very alert,” the 51-year-old told BBC on March 3.

“England’s run between the wickets has been outstanding. There are little things you can control yourself and England seem to be doing that well. I just have a funny feeling England can get the job done in Mumbai,” he added.

They seem to have found a way to win – Michael Vaughn

As an example, Warne mentioned England’s match against New Zealand in the Super Eights, a dead rubber match won by Harry Brooke’s side. He was impressed to see how hard the kids worked to win an inconsequential game.

“They seemed to have found a way to win. The win against New Zealand, even though it was a dead end, was a huge effort to get across the finish line,” said Michael Vaughan.
