Federal agents arrest Portland, Oregon, protesters, deploy tear gas amid chaos

Chaos continued in Portland as federal agents were arrested in a dramatic video that arrested multiple protesters and deployed tear gas late Sunday, after federal judges approved a temporary restraining order that prevented the Trump administration from deploying the National Guard to the city.

In the video, dozens of federal personnel with tactical equipment identified by the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Border Patrol marks were seen detaining protesters in a gas cloud.

“Although Oregon federalized National Guard members remain in T10 status, the Oregon National Guard has no Oregon National Guard members in or around the Portland area,” the Pentagon confirmed Monday to Fox News Digital.

A White House spokesman also told Fox News on Monday Donald Trump Federal action has been ordered to address the city’s “violent riots” that were triggered after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions. The government added that they hope the Supreme Court overturns the restriction order to prevent the deployment of other troops.

Video shows that more than a hundred protesters seem to gather outside the building at night, shouting and facing armed lines Federal personnel.

Several people were forcibly restricted. In one scene, agents carry a protester with their arms and legs. Another protester trying to escape from the troops was caught and fixed on the ground.

The video ends with federal agents retreating to nearby buildings as protesters move towards their position, shouting and cheering.

U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut on Sunday National Guard Forces traveled to Portland, saying the operation was illegal and unconstitutional. The order also restricts the use of the National Guard in other states in Oregon.
