Families reunited in tears during Russian-Ukrainian prisoner exchange

Both Russia and Ukraine have exchange hundreds of prisoners of war in a deal brokered by the United Arab Emirates.

The Russian Defense Ministry said it had replaced 150 captured Ukrainian soldiers with an equal number of Russian soldiers. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksi said that 189 Ukrainians have returned home.

The BBC’s Will Vernon watched as freed Ukrainians were reunited with relatives at a site in the north of the country.
