It’s time to ring in 2025 with BAD at home: the musical blockbuster starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo has locked in a digital release on New Year’s Eve. It will include tons of bonus content including, yes, a singalong version like the one that followed the original into theaters.
According to differentthe film will be available for purchase on demand on December 31st, and that’s not all; “Bonus content on the digital release includes a singalong version, and a 40-minute trip to Oz that ‘celebrates the transformation of movie screen magic,’ among other material.” (Unfortunately, going to the list below, it does not seem that the material bonus includes cut scene of a poppy field which shows how Glinda, ElphieFiyero, Boq, and Nessa become fast friends.)
The variety further states that BAD will be available for purchase “on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home (formerly Vudu), Comcast Xfinity, Cox and Microsoft Movies & TV.”
It seems a little early for the film to be released digitally, as the 4K Blu-ray release is scheduled for February 5. Many fans will still go to theaters to see it, so we hope it’s digital which surprise does not mean. it will be pulled immediately. It’s a fun movie experience for the crowds that change—and the singalong version hit theaters recently.
