Kingsmen Hyderabad owner Fawad Sarwar claimed in a recent interview that the board will not award National Olympic Committee (NOC) titles to England red-ball players next season. Moreover, he believes that the PSL could have been the second-best league, but not because of poor management.
The Pakistan Super League will be played next season with the arrival of new teams. Kingsmen Hyderabad, the new team owned by Fawad Sarwar, have made many outlandish remarks about the upcoming PSL season and the development of PSL.
The PSL season will feature several new players this season after some were dropped during the IPL season. Apart from Hyderabad, Sialkot Stallings has also been selected for the Pakistan Super League season.

England not to award NOC to red-ball cricketers
Fawad Sarwar then issued a massive statement targeting the ECB and England Cricket Board. England may not hand over NOC to their red-ball cricketers in the post-ICC T20 World Cup season. Additionally, England will be busy with their red-ball schedule.
England players did not participate in the entire IPL and several big-name players such as Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Harry Brooke and Adil Rashid are not part of a league like the IPL, which shares the same window with the PSL this season.
However, team owners said the ECB would not hand over NOCs to their Test cricketers, citing excessive workload between franchises and international cricket. Fawad Sarwar said: “I don’t think the ECB will award NOCs to England red-ball players. That’s the latest news we’ve got.”
‘You created your rivals for no reason,’ claims new PSL team owner
The Pakistan Super League is often promoted as one of the most prestigious leagues in the world by Pakistani players, former stars, PCB PSL committee members and others. However, the PSL is nowhere near leagues like the IPL, The Hundred, SA20 or even the ILT20 in terms of value or popularity.
The new investor in Pakistan’s franchise level cricket team also mentioned that if someone cannot manage a team properly, then they should give up. There is no reason to continue this way, which has led to so many competitors in the PSL.
Fawad Sarwar said: “PSL should be the second best league. You create your rivals for no reason. If you can’t manage the team well, then give it to someone else.”

“The salary cap for PSL players should be $5-6 million” – Fawad Sarwar
The salary cap for PSL cricketers has always been a matter of discussion and concern. Many believe that the IPL attracts great international stars because of its insane salary cap and auction prices. They also feel that PSL is not providing enough funds as now several new leagues are opening up as an option for these cricketers.
Amid such negotiations, the new franchise owners of the PSL also claimed that even if the draft system continues, the salary cap for cricketers should be increased and should be raised to a new salary cap of $5-6 million.
