Lacey, like Harper, is a former Rutgers women’s basketball player. She briefly joined the Washington Mystics, but was waived during the 2025 preseason. Although her journey is unclear, she has been a strong supporter of Harper as he made his mark as a rookie on an ambitious Spurs team.
They met at Rutgers University, where they both played basketball. She was present at important moments in his career and was with him during his rookie photo shoot.

The Spurs won 125-92 on the road. Harper started as a substitute and scored 15 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in the game.
He strained his left calf early in the season, causing him to miss several weeks. He has been improving his fitness and playing time since his return, with the coaching staff emphasizing a gradual increase in workload. Harper talked about enjoying the Spurs’ culture and team environment, emphasizing how much he’s learned and how much fun it is to play with his teammates.
