Former CNN host Don Lemon hires high-priced lawyer familiar with defending clients against Trump administration related after his arrest. He participated in protests at St. Paul’s Church in Minnesota.

Lemon is represented by Abbe Lowell, a lawyer known for representing high-profile political figures in need of legal help; most notably Hunter Biden.

Biden, the former president’s surviving son Joe BidenLowell’s most high-profile client of late. Biden Jr. has been one of the Trump administration’s biggest foils, and Lowell has guided the 55-year-old author, businessman and recovering addict through a series of legal issues focused primarily on his home state of Delaware.

Lemon was arrested in Los Angeles as he prepared to cover an awards show for his podcast, and Lowell confirmed his client was in custody late Thursday and said his “constitutionally protected work in Minneapolis as a reporter is no different than what he has always done.”

Lowell has often pointedly defended his client in Biden’s tax and gun-charge cases:

And then – Rep. Gary Condit, D-Calif., a follower of the disappearance of Chandra Levy; Federal Reserve Board Governor Lisa Cook, who has been fighting the Trump administration’s attempts to fire her; and lobbyist Jack Abramoff, all have turned to Lowell as a legal defender.
