David Beckham signs exclusive Fanatics trading card memorabilia deal


Another sports legend has joined Fanatics in an exclusive offer of trading cards and souvenirs.

David Beckhamthe English soccer icon and co-owner of Inter Miami CF in Major League Soccer, has teamed up with Fanatics for this partnership, which was announced Monday.

The deal includes all autographed and inscribed memorabilia and trading cards, appearances, meet-and-greets and more.

Beckham is the latest of many global football stars and legends to have exclusive deals with the digital sports giant.

He had previously been in an exclusive deal with Panini America, a rival trading card maker, which was signed in 2021. It is not known what the budgets for this partnership are.

Fanatics Collectibles Trading Card President David Leiner, told cllct that Topps, the trading card and collectibles brand Fanatics acquired in 2022, had never worked with Beckham.

“We had done some letters, some parts of his image, all these things when we were Premier League rights holder But we’ve never had autographs.”

That all changes with this deal, kicking off with a special Beckham “Superfractor” card in Premiere League 2026 Chrome Packs, which will be available for sale on February 5.

Fanatics and the EPL agreed to an exclusive deal through 2024 after soccer’s top league spent six years working with Panini America.

Leiner said Beckham will be a major asset to their marketing possibilities as the multi-year partnership continues to develop.

“I think it just makes the portfolio that much better, it gives us a lot of improved ammunition here to work with,” Leiner explained. “The deal includes significant marketing … We plan to engage with David and do lots of fun things for fans and collectors, and we look forward to bringing more and more people into the world of collecting with David.”

Apart from the EPL, Fanatics Collectibles has exclusive partnerships with the UEFA (since 2015), MLS (since 2012) and Bundesliga (since 2008) club competitions.

And Fanatics has gone global with its flagship stores, including one near London’s famous Piccadilly Circus, set to open in April 2025.

“Soccer is the biggest sport in the world, and soccer has a ways to go until it becomes a major collectible category,” Leiner said.

“A player like David Beckham will only continue to increase the collectibles, elevating the Topps brand.”
