Cuba’s government says international airlines can no longer refuel there due to fuel shortages under U.S. president Donald Trump Threatening to impose tariffs Any country that supplies oil to communist countries.

In an executive order issued in late January, Trump said the Cuban government posed an “unusual and extraordinary threat” that warranted the declaration of a national emergency.
The U.S. president said Cuba’s ties to countries including China, Russia and Iran, human rights abuses and communist leadership destabilized the region “through immigration and violence.”
As part of his statement, Trump said U.S. tariffs could target countries that directly or indirectly supply oil to Cuba.
