Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-TexasDemocrats focused on “the safest white boy” in the 2028 presidential campaign, saying that in the podcast conversation, the party’s donors floated “a specific candidate.”
“It’s this concern that people within the main system will vote for a woman because every time we vote for a woman, we lose,” she said in a clip mailed to Instagram. “And I think it’s a natural fear because we just want to win.”

“No, to be true, be clear, when we talk about them, I can tell you there is a specific candidate,” the Texas lawmaker said. “I have a donor on my phone and tell me that all the donors are lined up behind that candidate. So I can tell you, I tell you, this is not black, nor a woman, okay?”
She called Democratic donors “they” in the discussion, believing they are people who have opinions about the former president Joe Biden.
California Governor Gavin Newsom, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz Rep. Alexandria Occasio-Check, DN.Y. and former Vice President Kamala Harris, despite losing her name, are the 2028 contenders of the Democratic presidential race.

Politico reported that Crockett told her colleagues that she was “made at the moment”, citing people familiar with the matter and referring to Democratic PartyDesire to resist Trump in a stronger way.
Crockett has been criticizing the president since Trump was elected.
