Gallagher heaps praise on Simmons after Manchester City fightback

As a youngster arrives, Gallagher has heaped praise on another rising talent in north London.

Spurs were in the doldrums after a dismal first half in N17, but Harvey Simmons’ brilliant outside-the-boot pass set up Dominic Solanke for a controversial first goal before Gallagher’s cross in the 70th minute saw Solanke score a superb back-heeled goal.

It caused an explosion at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and although Harvey Simmons’ late curling effort was tipped over to deny the home side victory, it was the latest strong display from the Dutch playmaker after a mixed start in north London after signing for £51.8million in August.

“That’s why you want him in your team, he wants to have the ball, he’s going to run forward, he’s going to create chances, score goals and yes, he’s great.”

Pedro Polo, Mickey van de Veen, Kevin Danso and Jed Spence have also been added to the injured list in the past week, but Polo is likely to return to Arsenal in three weeks’ time and Van de Veen is aiming to return to Manchester United on Saturday.

“We hope Mickey will be back at United and Jed hopefully it won’t be too long,” Frank revealed.
