England head coach John Mitchell says his Red Rose has a plan

England Red Roses head coach John Mitchell told Sky movement “We haven’t tried it, we’ve planned it” as his team tried to make history with the fourth Women’s Six-Nation Grand Slam on Saturday.

“We have good communication and we’re ready. We’ve now joined a team portfolio and I think it’s tactically right for France. If you’re comparing players, we probably have gone to those players who have consistent skills in key areas of the game.

“It’s an exciting combination, it’s a strong combination, so the whole team won the game because I think every week we prepare for there will be an opposition (in training) every week, which is as good as the team selected.

“So they showed a lot of failures in training and created a lot of situations, and before we get into performance, we have to solve the situation, so it’s a good preparation.”

England has won four women’s fixtures in six countries so far, with an average score of 46 points
