Cities around the world celebrate a subdued Christmas Eve in the shadow of the wars in Gaza and Ukraine




Christians gathered at the Church of the Nativity in the holy city of Bethlehem on Tuesday to mark a second Christmas Eve overshadowed by war as Pope Francis launched the observance of the global holiday with a dark mass at the Vatican.
