Chelsea are now open to letting midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka go loan This month, Borussia Dortmund are reportedly chasing the 21-year-old’s signature.
Chukwuemeka has struggled for minutes all season under Blues boss Enzo Maresca, who admitted during the summer that he did not expect a big role for the midfielder this year. He has not made a single Premier League matchday squad and has instead been forced to settle for 130 minutes in five appearances in cup competitions.
It was reported earlier this month Chelsea Only ready to entertain permanent offers for Chukwuemeka, whose contract includes a release clause worth around £40m, but Fabrizio Romano Note that loan moves are now on the table.
Chelsea have warned suitors that any offer must be a straight loan deal without a buyout clause and cover Chukwuemeka’s salary in full.
Dortmund are in talks to lure Chukwuemeka to Germany, but Chelsea could still opt to send the 21-year-old to sister side Strasbourg, although they would have to terminate one of their three current loan deals with the French side – Andre Santos, Jorge. Petrovic and Caleb Wiley.
There have already been plenty of talks between Chelsea and Dortmund this month The Bundesliga giants are chasing a deal for Renato Veiga. The Portugal international is reportedly keen to depart Stamford Bridge and join a side capable of giving him more minutes at centre-back.
