“Miss Terrell made it clear that if I did not do this, she would come to my home, kill me, sexually assault my wife and then sexually assault her again,” he claimed.
He called on Terrell to step down, adding, “To be clear, no elected official paid to represent us should use intimidation or threats to prevent anyone from seeking elected office or engaging in public service, especially for the benefit of their friends.”
Terrell denied sending the voicemail in a statement posted to Facebook in September.

“I want to state unequivocally: I did not create this message,” she wrote. “I was told artificial intelligence technology Get involved. Part of the voicemail is my voice, but other parts are human-generated. “
She wrote at the time that her team was trying to figure out who created the message.
“For more than a decade, I have worked hard to represent the best interests of our community, advocate for our residents, and ensure that local decisions reflect the values and priorities of the people I serve,” she added. “In light of these circumstances, that dedication will not waver.”

Terrell is out of jail on his own recognizance and is expected to appear in court in January, the police department said.
