Canada Shootings at high school and home leave at least nine dead

British Columbia Premier David Eby said at a news briefing Tuesday that 25 other people were injured in the shooting in the remote community of Tumbler Ridge.

There are about 25 people who have been examined by the health authorities with various physical injuries, some with severe and some with minor injuries. But I can speak for myself, and I’m sure for many British Columbians, many Canadians, it makes us think about the safety of our children. When they go to school, we take it for granted. You go to school, you come home safe and events like this make us pause about that safety that many Canadians are privileged to enjoy across this country.
