The new Cadillac team is making a high-profile splash at America’s biggest sporting event as they reveal their first Formula 1 livery in an advert during the Super Bowl.
They debuted their first colors in major advertising spots during the NFL Championship Game Seattle Seahawks beat New England Patriots Cadillac’s debut livery was revealed at Levi’s Stadium in California in a unique split arrangement for the 2026 start, with one side of the vehicle black and the other white.
A replica of the car was also unveiled in Times Square, New York.
The team is backed by American auto giant General Motors and becomes the 11th team on the F1 circuit and the sport’s first all-new team in ten years.
The team said the dual uniform design uses “asymmetry as a thoughtful design concept: an expression of yin and yang balance through stark black and white, where courage, determination and performance are combined with desire, optimism and ambition”.
CEO Dan Towriss said: “This livery represents more than just a paint scheme; it represents who we are and what we bring to Formula 1.
“Every detail is intentional: bold, modern, and distinctly American, while respecting the tradition and precision that defines the sport.
“Choosing to showcase our first-ever game uniform during the Super Bowl and in the heart of Times Square is a way to show the world who we are at the intersection of performance, culture and entertainment and connect with fans beyond the paddock.”
Cadillac, wearing a temporary dark livery, had tested their 2026 car at Silverstone last month before conducting a three-day group test in Barcelona, where the Ferrari-powered challenger completed 164 laps.
The team signed experienced winning drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez as their first driver line-up.
Team principal Graeme Lowdon said: “I am extremely proud to reveal the colors of our 2026 Formula 1 challenger.
“We are a team built on bold ambition and innovative leadership, and we are demonstrating our values today by participating in one of the world’s most culturally significant sporting events in a way that a Formula 1 team has never done before.”
Cadillac returns to the Bahrain track this week, with its racing livery debuting on-car during a filming day at Sakhir Circuit on Monday before official testing begins with the rest of the team on Wednesday.
