Bayer Leverkusen have made contact with Chelsea defender Axel Desassi over a possible January move transferA report claimed.
Disassi is Enzo Maresca’s fifth-choice centre-back behind Levi Colville, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashil and Tosin Adarabio, and has managed just four Premier League appearances this season.
According to Sky Sports SwitzerlandDeSasi is frustrated with her limited role and is now considering quitting Chelsea to resume his career in January.
His situation has reportedly caught the eye of Bayer Leverkusen, who have arrived to discuss a winter move as they sweat the potential departure of captain Jonathan Tah, who is entering the final six months of his contract and has already made it clear that He does not sign the extension.
Disassi is also attracting interest from Juventus, but the Serie A side will only be able to offer an initial loan deal – something that would not interest Chelsea.
Maresca, for his part, has stressed his desire to hold on to every player in the squad but admitted that those struggling for minutes must decide if they are happy to continue fighting for their future.
