Newly released body camera video obtained by Fox News Digital shows the immediate reaction to the death of an Ohio teacher whose husband was shot and killed inside the couple’s home.
Caleb Flynn, 39, charged with murder Following the death of his wife Ashley Flynn.
Mother, teacher and volleyball coach shot to death in home Tipp City House February 16th. Caleb Flynn initially called 911 to report a break-in at his home and was arrested later that week.
Video released by Tippe City police showed officers who arrived at the home believing they were responding to a botched burglary attempt, showing some blurry footage of the home’s interior.

Police later encountered Caleb Flynn inside the home.
“Oh, my God, my God, my God, my God,” Caleb Flynn sobbed in the video.
“Is she gone?” he asked. “What am I supposed to do with my daughters?”
Caleb Flynn appeared frantic throughout the initial search of the home, crying loudly and breathing heavily when officers tried to communicate with him.
At one point, he can be heard calling his mother to tell her about the situation.
“Ashley is dead,” he repeated through sobs. “Mom, she’s gone. I don’t know what to do.”

Minutes later, body camera footage captured Caleb Flynn leaving his home, then stumbling to the ground.
He was later seen vomiting in his front yard and was comforted by a woman who rushed to the scene, later identified as the children’s grandmother.
“Girls don’t know,” he added, as the woman burst into tears.
The couple had two daughters who were sleeping in the house when they returned home. shooting occurredaccording to 911 calls and body camera video.

In a 911 call obtained by Fox News Digital, Caleb Flynn can be heard telling authorities that someone broke into his home and killed his wife.
“Oh my gosh, someone broke into my house, someone broke into my house and shot my wife,” Caleb Flynn said. “My wife, she was shot twice in the head and there was blood everywhere. Oh my God, my God, my God.”

The dispatcher then asked Ashley if he was breathing, and he responded, “No, I don’t think so.”
“Ashley, Ashley, baby, baby, please, God, no – she didn’t!” he said.

Caleb Flynn later added that he found the door “to the garage door” “wide open” at the time of the shooting.
Additionally, the person who called 911 told dispatchers that the children were sleeping in a room in the home, NewsCenter 7 reported.

“Someone broke into the reporting person’s home and it’s unknown if they are still there. The garage door was open,” the dispatcher said. “Apparently a female was shot in the head. There has been no response at this time.”

“The squad is on the way; they haven’t staged it yet. Can they respond?” the dispatcher asked.

“Yeah, just one person,” one of the first responders responded.
The two young children were reportedly sleeping in a bedroom when the shooting occurred.
“RP and the minor daughter were locked in a bedroom,” the dispatcher told police, according to the outlet. “Correction – the teens will be sleeping in their rooms for now.”
Three days later, Caleb Flynn Arrested in connection with and his wife were killed.

He was charged with murder, two counts of felony use of a deadly weapon and two counts of tampering with evidence.
According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, prosecutors charge “Caleb Flynn with the murder of his wife (REDACTED) on the morning of February 16, 2026.” He allegedly used a 9 mm handgun to kill his wife and then staged a crime scene in the home that left responding officers “disoriented,” documents state.

He was later booked into the Miami County Jail and arraigned. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and his bail was set at $2 million.

Caleb Flynn’s attorney, L. Patrick Mulligan, said in a previous statement to Fox News Digital that prosecutors rushed to charge his client with murder.
“Caleb Flynn entered a plea of not guilty this morning and looks forward to defending this case. We are disappointed and concerned by the short duration of this case and the seeming rush to a verdict,” Mulligan said. “When the government has no leads or is unable to find leads and look at the surviving spouse in such cases, the likelihood of a wrongful conviction increases.”

In 2013, Caleb Flynn was a contestant on American Idol and was filmed talking about his love for his wife and their relationship in a hometown interview segment.
“I absolutely love the Lord. I love my wife more than anything. She’s very, very beautiful. I love her,” Caleb Flynn said. “But, you know, I’m just a normal person, and I love singing more than anything.”
