Match preview for Bodow/Glimt vs Manchester City
Still looking for his first win Champions League campaign, They will / Glimt will welcome Manchester City on Tuesday evening at the Espamira Stadium.
The Norwegian side have drawn three and lost three of their six league-stage matches so far, while Manchester City have won four, drawn one and lost one of six.
Bodø/Glimt qualified for the Champions League league stage for the first time in their history ahead of the 2025-26 season, but Kjetil Knutsen’s side found the move challenging.
The Super League are 32nd in the standings with just three points from six matches, one of only four teams so far to register a win in the league stage. As a result, they are four points behind the top 24 and need maximum points from the remaining fixtures to have any chance of reaching the knockout rounds.
Manchester City have played six competitive fixtures in 2026 and have struggled for consistency. Pep Guardiola’s side have managed just two wins in that spell, with three draws and one defeat against League One opposition in the FA Cup.
Guardiola will be hoping that a return to Champions League action will provide a reset. The Citizens have been more reliable in Europe this season and remain firmly in the hunt for a top eight finish.

Manchester City’s recent domestic form leaves little room for doubt, but their performances in the Champions League have been even more convincing.
Given Bodø/Glimt’s struggles at this level and City’s strong European record, the visitors should have enough quality to secure a comfortable victory in Norway.
