Soon after, Lopez Sr. was involved in another conflict, this time with Terrence Crawford.
Crawford took issue with Lopez Sr. dancing in front of him and displaying his son’s belt. Crawford stepped forward, visibly agitated, and came face to face with him. The exchange cooled down briefly, and after Crawford returned to his seat, Lopez Sr. resumed his antics.

When people become part of the story
The situation on the field further escalated. Devin Haney’s father, Bill Haney, got into physical altercation with members of his team With Delant “Tiger” Johnson and his team. When a quarrel occurs Devin Haney interviewed Just steps away from Ring Magazine.
Security personnel intervened, but trouble then moved into the hallway and another confrontation broke out between the same group of people. What started as verbal noise turned into a full-blown distraction that drew attention away from the fighters scheduled to compete.
Eventually, the order is returned. Lopez and Stevenson had no problem gaining weight and keep going. The fighting itself remains intact, but this week has highlighted the tensions between the camps and their circles. The edge has been there all week.

MSG draws hard line
Following the incident, representatives from the MSG family of companies released a statement discussing the disruption and potential fallout.
“MSG does not condone violence at any type of event, including hockey, basketball, boxing, concerts or special events,” the statement read. “If anyone is found to be engaging in violent activity, whether you are an event attendee or a patron, you will be banned for life and will be barred from attending or participating in any events at all of our venues.”
The message is clear. The chaos backstage may attract cameras, but Madison Square Garden won’t tolerate it. The soldiers gained weight. The battle continues. Everything else has been warned.
