MS NOW Host Joe Scarborough Jimmy Kimmel was told Wednesday that former President Joe Biden’s staff used to let him know when the then-president watched “Morning Joe” and urged him not to be too harsh on him.

“I would listen to the chief of staff who works for him,” Scarborough said. “‘Be nice to the president. Because when you criticize, well, it messes up our day.'”

Scarborough said the requests do not affect how he approaches his job.

“The question is, am I talking about Joe Biden Or talking about what Donald Trump is doing, my goal is your goal and I think that’s everybody’s goal. We want a better country,” he said.

“I said, ‘Listen.’ And I don’t usually do that. I just called him. I said, ‘If you don’t mind, tell me privately about the call.’ He told me about the call. And I said, Mr. President, I think it would be a good thing for the American people to see you and Tim Walz and the mayor of Minneapolis talking to each other. We need more of this,” Scarborough said.
