BBC hears rape case of Crown Princess’ son in Oslo court


The trial of the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway is scheduled to begin in Oslo on Tuesday. Marius Borg Høiby was charged with 38 offenses, including raping four women, assaulting and threatening a girlfriend, damaging her apartment, as well as drug charges and driving offences.

If convicted, he could face more than 10 years in prison.

On Sunday, Hoiby was arrested for the fourth time since being detained by police in August 2024.

Meanwhile, ties between his mother and late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were revealed.
