Bangladesh CT squad announced, Shakib Al Hasan dropped


The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday, January 12, announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead Bangladesh in the upcoming prestigious tournament starting on February 19, 2025.

Bangladesh’s ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been overlooked in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as Tigers decide to go with young blood. Notably, former captain Tamim Iqbal is not in the squad as he has retired from international cricket.

However, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mushfiqur Rahim, Taskin Ahmed and Mustafi Mustafizur Rahman has been included in the 15-man squad led by Najmul Hossain Shanto.
